On Sunday May 20, 2007 the Pacific Southwest Branch held a brunch social meeting at the Ocean House Restaurant in Carlsbad, California . Those in attendance were; President John B. Van Derbeek IV and his lovely wife and friend of the Society Diane, loyal friend of the Society Suzanne Ditmars, former Branch President and longtime life member since 1971 Paul H. Davis and Branch President Steven B. Snedeker and his loyal wife Sandra.
A delicious brunch was enjoyed by all and a lively discussion covering many topics was enjoyed by everyone. Among the many topics discussed were women and their role in the Society and the June second annual sailing challenge. Suzie Ditmars decorated the table with wonderful Dutch art and miniature tulips. Notice the outrigger ship made from a miniature shoe in the middle of the table.
Paul Davis requested that anyone interested in joining the Society for Colonial Wars contact him to pursue interest in this fine organization of which he is a proud member. You may contact Paul via the net at: davisp@hdvest.net.
Next meeting of the branch will be near the end of the year with a date to be announced.
