THE HOLLAND SOCIETY LIBRARY
The Library of the Holland Society of New York is an invaluable resource for those pursuing New Netherland studies, especially genealogy and family history. The library’s collection includes a large amount of information on the history and culture of the families that populated the Dutch colonies in America over three centuries ago. While this collection focuses primarily on New Amsterdam and Hudson River settlements, it also follows early Dutch and allied migrations in North America. In order to make this collection more accessible to the public, most of the Library was donated to the New York State Library‘s New Netherland Research Center in Albany in July 2017.
